Meet the Dentists

Dr. Ben Gardner

Dentist

Dr. Ben Gardner graduated from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine in 2012. He was raised in Yuma County on his family’s farm and ranch near Eckley. Dr. Ben received his Bachelor’s Degree from Oklahoma Panhandle State University with a major in Ag Business and a minor in Animal Science. He spent some time as a general contractor before being introduced to a career in dentistry.
Dr. Ben completed his residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry in Northern Arizona before returning to Yuma County. 
Dr. Ben is passionate about continuing to further his education in order to bring all aspects of dentistry to his community. He continues expanding his knowledge through post graduate education at Spear Education, Kois Institute, Dr. Edward P. Allen’s Center for Advanced Dental Education, Dental Success Network, Concious Sedation Consultants, Sclar Center of Oral Surgery and Implant Dentistry, and Great Lakes Implant Institute. 

Dr. Ben met his wife, Dr. Resa, in dental school. They bought their practices and moved back to Yuma County in 2014. Dr. Resa practices at Wray Family Dental in Wray, CO. They have two boys, Benjamin and Drew. During Dr. Ben's spare time he enjoys spending time with his family as well as being active outdoors. His hobbies include spending time at the lake, hunting, fishing, and golfing.


Dr. Ben has always loved the small town lifestyle and could not be more proud to serve the community he grew up in. He strives to offer his patients the best care available by staying current with the latest techniques and current technology.

Dr. Alyssa Erisman earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2020 before receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine in 2025. Originally born and raised in California, she moved to Colorado for college and quickly grew to love the state she now proudly calls home.

Her path into dentistry is deeply personal. Growing up, Dr. Alyssa was born without several permanent teeth and spent much of her childhood undergoing dental treatment. Those early experiences gave her a unique understanding of the patient perspective and showed her how much a confident smile can influence a person’s self esteem and overall outlook, ultimately inspiring her to pursue a career in dentistry.

Dr. Alyssa is passionate about providing patient-centered care built on trust, clear communication, and comfort. She believes that listening carefully, explaining treatment clearly, and creating a welcoming environment are just as important as the clinical care itself.

She is excited to be practicing in northeastern Colorado and to be closer to family near Sterling. Outside the office, Dr. Alyssa enjoys exploring new places with her husband, Kyle, trying new restaurants, cooking and baking, reading, and spending time with their Yorkie, Murphy. She looks forward to building lasting relationships within the community and helping patients feel confident in their smiles.

  • Kari - Dental Hygienist

    Kari graduated from Laramie Community College in 2010 with a degree in Dental Hygiene. Kari is happily married to her husband Nick and has two young boys. Kari enjoys spending time with family and friends and being outdoors.

    Sadie - Dental Hygienist

    Sadie grew up in the mountains of Buena Vista and now resides in Stratton with her husband, JW. She earned her Bachelor of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from Colorado Northwestern Community College. Outside the office, she enjoys rodeoing on the weekends and ranching alongside her husband and his family. Sadie loves spending time outdoors, traveling, and trying new foods.

  • Tammy - Dental Assistant

    Tammy is a Dental Assistant at Yuma Family Dental. She is one of the ones behind the mask and gloves trying to make your experience at Yuma Family Dental a fun and enjoyable one. 

    Tammy and her husband Dan have been in Yuma for  33 years and have two great kids. 

  • Ariana - Dental Assistant

    Smile Advocate and Mom of 3. 

    Ariana graduated as a Dental Surgeon in Mexico in 2016 and arrived to Yuma, CO in 2020. She is passionate about helping patients feel confident and meeting their needs. 

    When she’s not practicing dentistry, she’s busy dedicating her time to Mateo, Noah, and Lucca with the help of her husband Nikko. 

    Ariana will make you feel welcomed and calm when sitting in the dental chair.

  • Quincy - Dental Assistant

    Quincy was born and raised in Akron Colorado. She graduated from Akron High School in 2022 and then went to college on a volleyball scholarship where she graduated with her Associate Degree from Otero College in 2024. Quincy found her way back home and started working at Yuma Family Dental a few months later. In her free time she enjoys working on her family’s farm, ranch, and along side her brother’s Showpig operation. 

  • Madison - Dental Assistant

    Madison was born and raised in Yuma Colorado. Maddy joined the Yuma Family Dental team in May of 2021. She plays a big part at the dental office, where she is assists doctors and keeps the flow of the office going. Maddy has a great work ethic, drive, and is happily married to her husband Tyler.

    Karina - Dental Assistant

    Originally from Baja, Mexico, Karina moved to the U.S. in 2015 and joined the YFD team in 2023. Karina, Max (husband) and Paizley (stepdaughter) enjoy their time together with their horses, chickens and Dolores, the cow.

    Audrey - Dental Assistant

    Audrey was born and raised in Yuma, Colorado. She started working at Yuma Family Dental in 2025. She’s a single mom to 3 amazing boys. In her free time she enjoys being outdoors, trying new foods, going on new adventures and hanging out with family and friends.

    Iris - Front Office

    Iris was born and raised in Yuma, Colorado. She began working at Yuma Family Dental in 2019 as a Scheduling Coordinator in the front office, where she enjoys welcoming patients and helping create a smooth, positive experience for everyone who walks through the door.

    Iris is happily married to Luiz and is a proud mom to her two beautiful boys, Onek and Lexel. In her free time, she enjoys crafting, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends.

    Diana - Front Office

    Diana was raised in Yuma, Colorado and works at Yuma Family Dental as a Scheduling Coordinator. Diana is happily married to Jaime, has two young boys and one on the way. Diana likes to spend time with her family, friends, and dog Oreo.
